Syracuse, NY (October 23, 2002) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today the promotion of Michael Folsom to community relations and special events manager and Nicole Federico to sponsorship services manager. The team also announced the addition of Adam Groff as ticket manager/account executive and Matthew Christiana as administrative assistant/account executive. Folsom, 22, enters his fifth season with the Crunch and will be responsible for overseeing the Crunch's community involvement throughout the year, including the P&C Street Hockey series and Crunch Into Reading program during the summer and all off-ice events during the season. He also acts as the team' liaison between area youth hockey organizations and Central New York charities. A native of Brewerton, Folsom is continuing his education at Onondaga Community College in business administration. Federico, 22, joined the Crunch in June of 2002 as an administrative assistant. In her new role, Federico will maintain the relationship between the Crunch and their corporate sponsors as well as handling the club's travel. A native of Syracuse, Federico graduated from Ithaca College, with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations and Sports Studies. Groff, 22, starts his first season with the Crunch, overseeing the Crunch's ticketing department, including the servicing of all season ticket accounts and the sale of ticket packages. A native of Central Square, Groff graduated in December of 2001 from Niagara University with a BS in commerce with a marketing concentration. Christiana, 23, joins the Crunch after a stint in the Auburn Doubledays (NY-Penn) office. Christiana will assist the Crunch's sales and marketing departments in addition to the selling of ticket packages. A native of Liverpool, NY Christiana graduated in May of 2002 from SUNY Cortland with a sport management degree.
