The Hartford Wolf Pack will try to reverse a two-game losing streak Friday, when they visit the Manchester Monarchs (7:35 PM faceoff). That game starts a three-games-in-three-days weekend, with home games coming up Saturday vs. Philadelphia (7:05) and Sunday against Albany (4:05).

* Chuck-a-Puck - Sponsored by I-G-A Supermarkets, Chuck-a-Puck allows fans to purchase foam pucks for $1 each and during the second intermission, throw them at the center ice target to try to win some great prizes. Proceeds from Chuck-a-Puck go to the Wolf Pack Community Foundation.
The Phantoms' leading goal-scorer, with three in three games, is former Hartford Whalers first-round pick (15th overall in 1990) Mark Greig.

* Kids' Opening Day - The first 1,000 kids 12 or under who pass through the gates for that game will receive a free Wolf Pack frosty mug, a coupon for a free quart of Brigham's ice cream, plus a voucher for a free children's ticket to the Wolf Pack's game October 30 vs. Manitoba. That October 30 game is the Wolf Pack's "Trick or Treat Night".
Last overall in the AHL last year at 14-42-12-12 for 52 points, the River Rats are off to a 2-2-1 start this year...Craig Darby leads the AHL in points, with 3-8-11 in five games.

The Moose's co-leading scorer, Steve Kariya (3-5-8 in 7 GP), is the younger brother of Anaheim Mighty Ducks star Paul Kariya.

The Wolf Pack's weekly radio program, Pack Talk, broadcasts live from City Steam, on Main Street in downtown Hartford, from 6-7 PM on Monday nights throughout the season. Pack Talk is hosted by the play-by-play voice of the Wolf Pack, Bob Crawford, and is broadcast on ESPN Radio 1410. The show features different Wolf Pack guests each week, and the guests will take questions from the live audience. Scheduled to be on this week's show are left wing Rico Fata and goaltender Scott Meyer.
