
Crunch Announce Roster Moves

Syracuse, NY (February 8, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled goaltender Andrew Penner and left wing Joakim Lindstrom. The Blue Jackets also reassigned right wing Tim Konsorada to Syracuse. The Crunch also announced that they have recalled right wing Jeff Szwez from Dayton and signed goaltender Michel Robinson to a professional try-out contract.
Penner, 23, has appeared in 25 games with Syracuse this season, posting a 13-7-1 record, a 3.09 goals against average and a .907 save percentage. Penner was recalled October 25 by Columbus and served as Marc Denis' back-up October 26 against Nashville. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Penner was signed as a free agent by Columbus on September 17, 2001.
Lindstrom, 22, has appeared in 36 games with 9 goals, 17 assists and 24 penalty minutes. In 49 career games with Syracuse, Lindstrom has tallied 13 goals, 21 assists and 24 penalty minutes. Lindstrom is expected to make his NHL debut tonight against Los Angeles. A native of Skelleftea, Sweden, Lindstrom signed a NHL contract with Columbus February 2.
Konsorada, 21, has appeared in 14 games with Syracuse this season, registering three goals, two assists and seven penalty minutes. In 29 games with Dayton, Konsorada has tallied 9 goals, 19 assists and 4 penalty minutes. A native of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Konsorada was selected by Columbus in the sixth round, 168th overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.
Szwez, 24, has appeared in 10 games with Syracuse this season, recording 3 goals, 2 assists and 11 penalty minutes. In 35 game with Dayton, Szwez has tallied 17 goals, 16 assists and 66 penalty minutes. A native of Durham, Ontario, Szwez was signed as a free agent by Syracuse on August 12, 2005.
Robinson, 23, has appeared in 23 games with Rockford (UHL) this season, posting a 14-5-2 record, a 2.34 goals against average and a .925 save percentage. A native of Montreal Quebec, Robinson appeared in one game with Milwaukee this season, posting a 4.70 goals against average and .833 save percentage.
