Canucks Recall Prestin Ryan

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled defenceman Prestin Ryan.

Ryan, 25, has appeared in 35 games so far this season with the Moose. He has scored eight goals and seven assists for 15 points and 34 penalty minutes. Ryan suffered a concussion in Manitoba's fourth game of the season on Oct. 14/05 at Milwaukee and subsequently missed the next 10 games. Recently, the Arcola, SK native has collected nine points (4G, 5A) in his last 10 games with the Moose. Thus far in his career, Ryan has never appeared in an NHL game. He has 11 goals and 24 points in 94 career games in the AHL with Manitoba and Syracuse.

Ryan was signed as a free agent by the Canucks in August, 2005.
