Toledo Walleye News Release

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks, announced today that defenseman Paul Crosty has been recalled to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

Paul Crosty, meanwhile, will make his first career trip to the American Hockey League as he signed a Player-Tryout Agreement (PTO) with the Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate for the Los Angeles Kings. Crosty has made his mark as the Storm enforcer this season, as he leads the team in PIM (131) in 34 games this year. His PIM numbers also put him among the league's elite, 7th best among all ECHL players in that category. In addition to his penalty numbers, Crosty has been a consistent defenseman for Toledo thus far, skating with a team-high +4 plus-minus rating. Crosty will suit up with the Monarchs tonight when they battle Portland followed by a Friday game against the Houston Aeros.

Tonight, the 2007 RBK Hockey ECHL All-Star Game will take place in Boise, Idaho at 9:00pm ET. Fans can watch the game, including Storm All-Star participants Jamie Tardif and Ken Magowan, LIVE on BCSN.

Toledo will return home on January 19th when they will once again battle the Cyclones at 7:35pm. Great tickets for the game are still available by calling 419-691-0200 or online at the all-new Toledostorm.com. Fans can hear all the action of all Toledo Storm hockey games on 1520 AM Jams or online at www.toledostorm.com. Fans can also watch the game LIVE via the B2 Network.
