Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters got back on the winning track Thursday beating Aberdeen 7-3. After falling behind 3-0 the Cutters plated a total of 7 unanswered runs in 4th-6th innings. OF Brad Corley got things started for the Cutters in the bottom of the 4th inning with a 2-run single to right field. Pearce continued his hot hitting as he went 2 for 5 with 2 RBI. RHP Todd Redmond (1-2) went 4 innings, giving up 4 hits, 3 runs, and striking out 3. The Williamsport bullpen came on the record 6 shutout innings. Williamsport remains 2 ý games behind Lowell for the wild card playoff spot. Lowell magic number has now dropped to 5. Any combination of Lowell wins and Williamsport losses that total 5 will eliminate the Cutters from the post-season. The Crosscutters host Aberdeen again on Friday night at Bowman Field.
