
Crosscutters Fall at Aberdeen 3-0

Aberdeen, Md. - The Williamsport Crosscutters fell 3-0 on Saturday evening at the Aberdeen Ironbirds. Williamsport's two-game win streak came to an end as did the team's stretch of four wins in the last five games. Williamsport was limited to just six hits in the contest.
The Cutters were shut out for the sixth time this season but it was just the third time it had happened in a nine-inning game.
Juan Aparicio led the Cutters with a pair of hits including a double while also throwing out another runner trying to steal. Aparicio rates fourth I the league with a .320 average.
Spencer Van Scoyoc (0-1) took the loss in a two-inning start allowing one run. Lefty Junior Tejada allowed a run for the time in three outings on a two-run single in the third by Andrew Daschbach which completed the scoring.
Nicolas Torres had his six-game hitting streak come to a close.
The Crosscutters return to action on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. with RHP Tom Sutera schedule to take the mound.
