CONEY ISLAND, NY - The Brooklyn Jefes, the Short Season Class A affiliate of the New York Mets, split a doubleheader with Mahoning Friday night at MCU Park. The Cyclones, playing as Los Jefes, won 5-4 in game one before falling 4-0 in the nightcap.

BIG MOMENTS
Trailing 4-0, Brooklyn scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning to take the lead for good. Ranfy Adon's two-run home run completed the comeback, giving the Jefes a 5-4 lead.
Korey Holland's two-run double pushed the Scrappers lead to 3-0 in the second inning.
Jaison Vilera earned the victory, allowing four unearned runs on two hits. Justin Lasko earned his first professional save with a scoreless seventh.

Mahoning Valley pitching combined for a seven-inning shutout, handing the Cyclones their first zero of the season.
Ray Delgado tripled and scored in the first inning, scoring on George Valera's run-scoring single to make it 1-0. The Scrappers added three in the sixth.

Angel Manzanarez exited game one, getting hit in the head with a 97 mph fastball from Mahoning Valley's Carlos Vargas.
