New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution rookie forward Adam Cristman has been elevated to the team's 18-man senior roster, the team announced today.
In his first professional season, Cristman has established himself as a candidate for the league's rookie of the year award. He is tied for the league's rookie lead in both goals (4) and assists (4), playing in 23 of the Revs' 24 games while making 13 starts.
"Adam has been a very consistent player for us this season," Director of Soccer Michael Burns said. "We're pleased to be able to add him to our senior roster and we're excited about his future with our club."
Cristman, 22, was drafted by the Revolution in the fourth round (48th overall) of the 2007 MLS SuperDraft after a stand-out four-year career at Virginia where he was a two-time all-region and all-ACC selection. He scored 34 career goals and added 15 assists at UVa, and helped lead the Cavaliers to the 2006 College Cup.
The Revolution (12-6-6, 42 pts.) returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 15, when the team hosts FC Dallas at 7:30 p.m. at Gillette Stadium. The game will be televised by TV38, and be carried on the radio by WRKO 680 AM.
