Esky Returns To Toronto
September 14, 2007 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Toronto FC News Release
After a disappointing loss to FC Dallas last weekend, Toronto FC (5-13-5 ) returns home to BMO Field looking for a much needed win against former TFCer, Alecko Eskadarian, and Real Salt Lake (4-13-6). This game is without a doubt a must-win for the boys and fans are eagerly waiting for the ball to find the back of the net.
SCOUTING REPORT - Match presented by Pepsi
Toronto FC vs. Real Salt Lake
September 15th, Kickoff at 3:30 PM
TV: CBC (Live)
Real Salt Lake have undergone a bit of a makeover since they lost 2-1 to TFC on the 4th of July. Since that meeting, Kyle Beckerman (#5), Fabian Espindola (#9), Javier Morales (#10), and Matias Mantilla (#27) have all been added to the squad, and both Beckerman and Espindola have been very present in the RSL attack of late. All-Time MLS Best XI defender Eddie Pope will be making his first and unfortunately last appearance in Toronto this Saturday with his retirement coming at the end of the season. Pope will be waiting for word on the progress of former teammate, Toronto FC forward Jeff Cunningham. We are hoping Jeff will be able to play a role in this game and seek revenge against his previous team, though his status has yet to be fully determined.
