HICKORY, NC - For the second time in the four-game set, the Hickory Crawdads walked off against the Kannapolis Intimidators, taking a 4-3 win in 11 innings before 1,883 fans at L.P. Frans Stadium on Thursday night. All-Star OF Chris Grayson drove in the game-winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the 11th.

The Crawdads (22-19, 58-52) opened the scoring with a run in the bottom of the second inning against RHP Bryan Blough. With one out, Grayson shot a solo home run over the right-field wall to put Hickory ahead, 1-0.

The 'Dads doubled their lead with another run in the third inning. 1B Trever Adams led off the frame with a solo shot over the left-field wall for a 2-0 advantage.

After 3.1 hitless innings by LHP Will Lamb, the Intimidators (15-24, 48-61) battled back to tie the game in the top of the fourth. Back-to-back singles by SS Chris Curley and RF Mark Haddow put runners on the corners with only one out. 3B Grant Buckner followed with an RBI base hit to score Curley and advance Haddow to third. 1B Martin Medina struck out on a passed ball that got away from C Kevin Torres, which enabled Medina to reach base safely, as well as Haddow to race home from third on the play, squaring the score, 2-2.

Lamb responded by striking out the next two batters to get out of the rest of the inning unscathed, racking up four strikeouts as he struck out the side. He matched a career-high with eight strikeouts on the night.

The Crawdads responded right away to move back in front in the bottom of the fourth. Grayson led off with a triple to right-center field and quickly darted home on an RBI double from DH Jorge Alfaro, making it 3-2.

The Intimidators tied the game again with a run in the top of the seventh inning. Facing RHP Arlett Mavare, LF Kyle Robinson sent a solo homer over the left-field wall for the 3-3 tie.

With the game still tied, RHP Jose Monegro (W, 1-0) took over on the mound to start the top of the 11th. The inning began with a fly ball from 3B Grant Buckner to the right-center gap that Grayson retired with a diving catch, robbing Buckner of extra bases. Monegro then struck out the next two batters, wrapping up the scoreless top of the frame.

After former Crawdad and current Kannapolis LHP Chris Hanna (L, 1-2) tossed five scoreless innings in relief, Hickory jumped on him in the bottom of the 11th. RF Zach Cone doubled down the left field line to start the inning, and quickly advanced to third on a double to right field from LF Alejandro Selen. With runners on second and third, Grayson ripped an RBI single to right field, scoring Cone and lifting the 'Dads to the 4-3 win in 11 innings.
