Meza, Holt Induce Power Outage in Suns' 9-7 Win

Charleston, WV - The Hagerstown Suns (65-45/23-18) outslugged and then outpitched the West Virginia Power (45-66/22-19) in a 9-7 victory at Appalachian Power Park on Thursday night to regain sole possession of first place in the division.

Suns' relievers Christian Meza (7-1) and Greg Holt combined to pitch the final 6.1 innings perfectly to secure Meza's seventh win and Holt's third save of the season. Matt Skole clubbed his league-best 24th homer of the year and finished the game with two RBIs. Bryce Ortega went 3-for-5 with a triple and two RBIs.

Power reliever Zach Fuesser (3-6) suffered the loss, giving up two runs on four hits in 4.1 innings of long relief. Catcher Fransisco Diaz went 2-for-3 with three RBIs to lead West Virginia's offense.

The Suns will now begin a four-game series with the Lexington Legends (Astros) on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. when RHP Blake Schwartz (1-0, 2.38) takes the mound for Hagerstown against Lexington's RHP Jonas Dufek (5-2, 5.25).
