
Crabs-Road Warriors Postponed

Southern Maryland Blue Crabs News Release
Waldorf, MD - Due to wet field conditions that were precipitated from a rain storm earlier in the evening, Tuesday night's game between the Blue Crabs and Road Warriors has been postponed and will be made up as part of a twi-night doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 5:05. Both games will be seven innings long with gates will opening at 4:00.
The rainout was the first of the season for the Blue Crabs at Regency Furniture Stadium and their third of the season. Ironically, the rainout is the second in four days for the Blue Crabs after their Saturday game at Bridgeport was suspended in the fifth inning due to rain. Tuesday's game marked the first of a six-game home stand for Southern Maryland, which runs through Sunday.
In game one of the twin-bill the Blue Crabs will send righty Virgil Vasquez (6-6, 4.99 ERA) to the bump against fellow righty Christopher Mason (0-3, 5.75 ERA) for the Road Warriors. Game two will feature two more righties as Brian Slocum (3-4, 4.60 ERA) will go for Southern Maryland against Luke Massetti (7-9, 6.05 ERA) of the Road Warriors.
