LANCASTER, Pa.-During the Barnstormers' Nine Innings of Networking on Wednesday, August 10, the team will offer its second annual career fair and create opportunities for fans to network with other local business professionals.

Through partnerships with Career Link, the Lancaster Young Professionals, Lancaster Non-Profit Young Professionals, Lancaster Latino Young Professionals and career fair agencies, 600 tickets have been made available complimentary to any job seeker who brings a resume to the Faulkner Chevrolet Box Office on Tuesday or Wednesday.

"We would like to have a unique networking event tailored to the young professionals in the area," said Brian Radle, Director of Events and Entertainment. "Their networks are seeing significant growth. However, beyond their own efforts there aren't many networking events in the area specifically targeting young professionals."

Once at the game, those individuals will be able to network and present their resumes to a number of area businesses looking to fill positions as well as other organizations, which provide a variety of career training and services. The following companies and staffing agencies are scheduled to participate in the job fair Wednesday night:

Penn Freight

Jackson Hewitt

Mennonite Home Communities

Clark Associates Incorporated

Career Link

Primerica

Securitas

Consolidated School of Business

And many more!

"Our evening was brilliant," said Katia, a human resources manager who participated in last year's event. "We received 45 resumes that evening and ran out of about 50 job seeker forms that I had brought, plus a few emails that I have received. Again, thank you for thinking of us for this event."

In addition to the career fair, job seekers will have the opportunity to participate in the Lancaster Young Professionals mixer, as well as a business card drop for the chance to win Barnstormers playoff prize packages.

The Barnstormers will take on the Somerset Patriots in the second game of a three-game series. Game time is 7:00 p.m., and gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the Chevrolet Box Office, by calling 717-509-HITS or by visiting www.LancasterBarnstormers.com .

The Lancaster Barnstormers are currently in their seventh season as a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Home games are played at Clipper Magazine Stadium in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Please call 717.509.HITS (4487) or visit LancasterBarnstormers.com for more information.
