
Mathes Fires Complete Game Shutout

J.R. Mathes was fantastic as he tossed a complete game shutout for the Riversharks as they won their second consecutive game shutting out the York Revolution 5-0. Mathes has now thrown 17 straight shutout innings in his last two starts, the longest streak by a Riversharks pitcher this season.
Mathes (4-4) allowed only five hits while striking out a season-high six batters.
Dumas Garcia (0-2) took the loss allowing four runs on a season-high nine hits in four innings of action.
The Riversharks wasted no time putting runs on the board with a two spot in the first inning. Noah Hall hit a two-run single scoring Jonel Pacheco and Lloyd Turner giving the 'Sharks a 2-0 lead.
Lloyd Turner extended the lead in the 3rd inning with his 3rd home run of the season, a solo shot, to make it 3-0.
With Camden leading 4-0 in the 5th inning, Brian Burgamy launched his team-leading 14th home run to make increase the lead to 5-0.
Camden had five batters with two or more hits in the game.
