Coyotes Recall Boedker from San Antonio

(GLENDALE, ARIZONA) --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have recalled left wing Mikkel Boedker from the San Antonio Rampage, the Coyotes American Hockey League affiliate.

In 31 games with the Rampage this season, the 5-foot-11, 205-pound Boedker has recorded eight goals and 18 assists for 26 points and eight penalty minutes. Boedker leads the Rampage in assists (18) and is tied for third on the team in scoring (26 points).

Last season, the 21-year-old native of Brondby, Denmark played 64 games with the Rampage, registering 38 points (11 goals, 27 assists) and four penalty minutes. He also played 14 games with the Coyotes collecting one goal and two assists. Boedker was drafted by the Coyotes in the first round (8th overall) in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

The Coyotes also announced today that left wing Taylor Pyatt suffered an upper body injury in Monday night's game versus the Pittsburgh Penguins and has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov is listed as day-to-day with an upper body injury.
