Jim Cuddy to Perform at 2011 Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation Gala Dinner

Winnipeg - True North Sports & Entertainment Limited and the Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation are pleased to announce Blue Rodeo's Jim Cuddy will perform an intimate and exclusive concert as part of the 2011 Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation Gala Dinner.

This year, the dinner will be held on the event floor of MTS Centre on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2011.

Cuddy has risen to music stardom as part of the band Blue Rodeo. Since the release of their debut album, Outskirts, in 1987, Blue Rodeo has established themselves as one of the premiere bands in Canadian music history. In 2006, Cuddy released his second solo album, The Light That Guides You Home, with critical acclaim and won the Juno Award for the Adult Alternative Album of the Year.

Hockey Night in Canada host Scott Oake will also once again serve as the evening's emcee.

The Manitoba Moose Yearling Foundation will host its fifth gala dinner at MTS Centre this year. Past performers include the likes of Cirque Du Soleil, Paul Brandt, Colin James, and comedian Brent Butt. The Gala Dinner is one of the many events held by the Moose Yearling Foundation to raise money for children charities in the province. In total, the Yearling Foundation has disbursed over $2.3 million to children's charities since being established back in 1996.
