ECHL Kalamazoo Wings

Countdown to Face-Off

January 29, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release

For the second time in the past eight days and for the final time in the regular season, the Kalamazoo Wings will take on the Reading Royals. On January 20th, the K-Wings lost to the Royals 4-1 at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania.

Defeating the Wheeling Nailers on the road last night, Kalamazoo returns home to Wings Stadium to start a three-game home stand. Recently, home ice hasn't treated the K-Wings well, as Kalamazoo is winless in their last three games on Vanrick Drive.

For the Royals, this afternoon is game three of a six-game road swing. Reading, who has won the first two legs of the swing, is 13-6-2-1 on the season away from the Sovereign Center. With 42 points, the Royals are in third place in the Atlantic Division.
