For the fifth time this season the Kalamazoo Wings will battle the Motor City Mechanics. On the year, the K-Wings are 3-1-0 against their division rivals. Kalamazoo comes into tonight's game in second place in the division, 14 points over the Mechanics who currently sit in third.

After ending a two-game winless streak on Wednesday afternoon against Flint, the K-Wings will now set their sights on snapping a four-game home winless streak. The K-Wings, who are 0-2-2 in their last four-games at Wings Stadium, last won at home on January 14th against the Mechanics.

Despite a shootout loss to Danbury on Tuesday, Motor City has been a roll. The Mechanics come into Wings Stadium on a four-game unbeaten streak. Tonight is also game five of a six-game road swing for the Mechanics, who are 3-0-1 on their recent trip.

Bolstering the Lineup

The K-Wings lineup will get a little healthier today. Kalamazoo has activated forwards Mike Manley and Tyler Rennette. Manley leads all UHL players with shorthanded goals (5), while Rennette is the K-Wings leading scorer with 54 points.

Carriere Nearing a Milestone

The next assist from defenseman Daniel Carriere will be a historic one for the Kalamazoo Wings. Carriere needs one more assist to pass Randy Holmes (1990-2002) and become the K-Wings UHL all-time leader in assists. Both Carriere and Holmes share the lead with 111 assists.

Closing in on 100

K-Wing forward Dustin Virag is nearing a personal milestone. Virag needs one more goal to reach 100 for his career. Dustin has scored four goals in his last two games.

Ending a Streak

The K-Wings are looking to snap a four-game home losing streak. Kalamazoo, who is 0-2-2 in their last four games at Wings Stadium, last won at home on January 14th with a 5-2 victory versus the Motor City Mechanics.
