Kalamazoo Wings News Release
After playing their first two games of the season on the road, the Kalamazoo Wings return home tonight to battle their archrivals, the Fort Wayne Komets. Besides being the home opener, tonight's contest also coincides with Kalamazoo's 2nd Annual Orange Ice Game.
Just two games into the season and the K-Wings offense is already getting noticed around the United Hockey League. Entering tonight, Kalamazoo and the Rockford IceHogs are the most prolific offenses in the league, averaging an astonishing 6 goals a game.
Fort Wayne begins the 2005-06 season as road warriors, as tonight is game four of their five game road trip to start the season. The Komets are currently 1-1-1 on their current swing, which will conclude tomorrow afternoon in Port Huron against the Flags.

Hat Trick or Treat
With his hat trick last night, forward Joe Seroski becomes the 21st player (26 separate occasions) in K-Wings UHL history to record three goals in a game. Before last night, the last player to net three goals in a game was Tim Turner, who recorded the trick against the Port Huron Beacons on 10/29/04.
Getting Offensive
The K-Wings are tied with the Rockford IceHogs as the UHL's most prolific offense. The K-Wings, who are averaging 6 goals a game, have outscored their opposition 12 to 1 in their first two games of the season.
Reaching Milestones
Two K-Wings players recorded milestones last night against Motor City. Defenseman Daniel Carriere recorded his 100th career assist, while forward Tommy Kotsopoulos received his 100th career point.
Can You Smell What the Rock is Cooking
In his first start of the season, goaltender Jeff Reynaert, who is nicknamed Rock, stopped all 29 shots he faced to recorded his seventh shutout of his career. The shutout by Reynaert was also the 19th shutout for the K-Wings in their UHL history.
