Kalamazoo Wings News Release

The top two teams in the UHL's Central Division will face-off tonight, as the K-Wings host the Muskegon Fury at Wings Stadium. Tonight's game is the second to last meeting between the teams in the regular season and the final encounter at Wings Stadium. Kalamazoo, who is 0-7-0 against the Fury, are looking for their first victory over the Fury since March 26, 2004, when the K-Wings won 3-2 in a shootout at Muskegon.

The K-Wings are just four points behind the Fury for the top spot in the division. With 81 points, Kalamazoo is fifth in the entire United Hockey League and are just six points behind the Adirondack Frostbite for the overall lead in the league. Tonight is game two of the K-Wings six-game home stand, which will conclude Thursday, March 17th versus the Fort Wayne Komets. The next time the K-Wings play away from Wings Stadium will be Friday, March 18th at Muskegon.

The Fury enter Wings Stadium unbeaten in regulation in their last 11-games. The 11-game streak is Muskegon's longest unbeaten streak this season. Like the K-Wings, the Fury would love to improve their overall ranking in the league. Muskegon, who leads the Central Division, are just two points behind Adirondack for first place in the entire league. Muskegon, who is 21-3-1 against their Central Division, have won their last eight games against their own division.
