A rivalry will get renewed as the K-Wings travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana to battle the Fort Wayne Komets. Tonight's game is just the second of five road games this month for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo won their first road test of the month on February 5th at Motor City.
Tonight is also the second of three consecutive games against the Western Division. The K-Wings are 16-5-0 against the west this season. Kalamazoo has won two straight games, including Monday's Pink Ice Game against the Rockford IceHogs. Yannick Carpentier enters tonight's game on a K-Wings season high, six-game point streak.
Fort Wayne is looking to move up the standings in the Western Division. The Komets enter tonight's game, just two points behind the IceHogs for the top spot in the west. Fort Wayne possesses the most lethal offense in the UHL. The Komets lead the league in goals (187), assists (322), and points (509). Sean Venedam and Colin Chaulk lead the Komets arsenal, as both players have 64 points.
