Week In Review - The Flint Generals of the United Hockey League posted a record of 0-3-1 last week while playing four games in five night on enemy ice. Flint dropped a 3-1 decision at Kalamazoo on Wednesday night as Mike Kinnie (26) tallied for the Generals. On Friday at Rockford, Kam White (2) scored the lone goal in a 4-1 defeat against the Icehogs at the Metrocentre. The road trip continued with a second visit to Kalamazoo as the Generals lost 6-4 against the Wings. Bobby Reynolds (18) and Mike Kinnie (28) had two goals and two assists to pace the Flint offensive attack. Flint earned one point in the 2-1 shootout loss at Muskegon on Sunday afternoon. John DiPace (11) scored for the Generals in the third period to force the shootout.

Sherwood/UHL Player of the Week Nominee - Right wing Mike Kinnie is our nominee for the Sherwood/UHL Player of the Week ending February 13, 2005. In three games, Kinnie had three goals and two assists for five points.

Richmond Riverdogs (27-24-3, 57 pts.) Third Place, Eastern Division, Eighth Overall
Flint and Richmond will tangle for the third of four regular season meetings. The Generals are 1-1 against the ‘Dogs this season after splitting a pair of games earlier this month at Richmond. The leading scorer is left wing David Hymovits (24g, 44a, 68 pts.) Former General Mark Turner (17g, 31a, 48 pts.) is tied for second among team leading scorers. Right wing Trevor Senn (215) leads the team in penalty minutes. Former Muskegon Fury netminder Brent Belecki has appeared in five games with the Riverdogs posting a 3-2 record. Richmond posted a perfect 3-0-0 record last week with victories over Danbury and back-to-back over Elmira, all at the Richmond Coliseum. Richmond is at Motor City on Wednesday before Friday night's game in Flint. The Riverdogs wrap up the weekend with games at Muskegon on Saturday and at Quad City on Sunday.

Flint and Kalamazoo meet for the fifth of six regular season meetings and the final game between the teams at Perani's Arena. Flint has a record of 1-2-1 against the Wings this season. Leading scorers are center Yannick Carpentier (14g, 33a, 47 pts.) and right wing Kevin Kotyluk (16g, 16a, 32 pts.) Goaltender Chad Alban (26-12-3) has been the workhorse between the pipes for the Wings. Team captain Tyler Willis (216) leads the Wings in penalty minutes. Kalamazoo posted a 2-1 record last week with the two victories coming at the expense of the Generals. The Wings defeated Rockford 2-1 at Kalamazoo on Monday night. The Wings travel to Fort Wayne on Wednesday and hosts Missouri on Friday. After Saturday night's game in Flint, Kalamazoo will host Port Huron on Sunday.

Record: (23-21-10, 56 pts.) Third Place, Central Division. Ninth Place Overall
Leading scorers: Bobby Reynolds, (18g, 50a, 68pts.), Rob Valicevic (25g, 37a, 62 pts.) and Mike Kinnie (28g, 24a, 52 pts.) Penalty minutes leader is Kris Waltze (217). Kinnie leads all rookies in points (52), goals (28), power play goals (13) and shooting percentage (.219). Reynolds is currently tied for third in league scoring, Valicevic is currently seventh. Valicevic (5) is also tied for the league lead in short-handed goals. The Generals are currently fourth overall on the power play and fifth best on penalty killing percentage.

Schedule Change - The Flint Generals have announced a schedule change for the "Morning Matinee". The game against the Muskegon Fury originally scheduled for Wednesday, February 16, 2005 has been changed. The new date is Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Perani's Arena.
