November 13, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Kalamazoo Wings News Release
After winning at Missouri last night, the K-Wings return home to Wings Stadium to host the Adirondack Frostbite. While the K-Wings trail the all-time series with a record of 7-8-1, the momentum in this series does belong to Kalamazoo. The K-Wings went 3-0-0 last year against the Frostbite, with all three of the game played here at Wings Stadium.
Led by a solid defensive effort and outstanding goaltending by Chad Alban, the K-Wings recorded their first shutout victory of the season, as Kalamazoo defeated Missouri 1-nothing in a shootout. The game was also the first shootout of the season for the K-Wings, who played in 15 extra sessions last year. Kalamazoo has added to their roster for tonight ¬â¢s game. The K-Wings have signed second-year defenseman Kevin Holdridge. Holdridge played his rookie season last year in the ECHL.
The Frostbite started a five-game road swing last night by defeating the Flint Generals 3-1. The victory kept Adirondack in a tie with Richmond for third place in the Eastern Division. Adirondack features a diversified offense that features four players that have 10 or more points. The leading scorer on the Frostbite roster is Hugo Belanger with 16 points. The 16 points ties Belanger for 7th place among all scorers in the UHL.

Alban the Awesome
For the first time this season and the 15th in his professional career, goaltender Chad Alban recorded a shutout by knocking aside all 31 shots he faced in a 1-nothing victory at Missouri last night. The shutout cut Alban ¬â¢s GAA to 2.12, which places him 5th in the UHL.
Player Milestone
Tonight ¬â¢s game should be a personal milestone for defenseman Chad Allan. With his first shift in tonight ¬â¢s game, Allan will play in his 500th career game. The veteran d-man has played a majority of his career in the AHL and in the top league ¬â¢s overseas.
Positive Reward
Defenseman Daniel Carriere leads the K-Wings with a plus/minus rating of +9. The +9 also places Carriere in a tie in the UHL among all players in plus/minus.
