Game Preview

Tonight will be the third of five meetings this season between the Kalamazoo Wings and Reading Royals. The first two encounters between the teams were played back in November at Wings Stadium on Blue Ice, while tonight's contest will be competed on Pink Ice.

Kalamazoo started a four-game home stand on Wednesday with a thrilling 5-4 overtime victory over the Gwinnett Gladiators. Looking to continue their good fortunes, the K-Wings enter tonight on a two-game winning streak.

With 71 points, no team in the Eastern Conference has more points than the Reading Royals. The Royals have soared up the standings thanks in part to their current 14-game (13-0-1-0) unbeaten streak. Besides the overall unbeaten streak, the Royals are unbeaten in regulation in their last nine (8-0-1-0) road games.

Kalamazoo's Dane Fox scored two goals on Wednesday to secure the K-Wings 5-4 overtime victory over the Gwinnett Gladiators. Fox leads the team in goals scored (18), game-winners (4) and power-play tallies (5).

Coming into tonight's game goaltender Joel Martin has appeared in the K-Wings last 10 contests. Martin ranks fourth in the ECHL in minutes played (2,027) and fifth in the league in saves (937).
