Game Preview The Kalamazoo Wings will continue their rivalry weekend on the road with a date against the Fort Wayne Komets. On the season, Kalamazoo is 7-3-1-0 versus Fort Wayne and 129-127-32-2 all-time in their IHL history.
Losing last night 4-2 to Muskegon, Kalamazoo dropped to fourth place in the league, one point behind Fort Wayne and now trail the Lumberjacks by three points for second. After tonight, the K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium to commence a three-game home stand.
Fort Wayne moved into third place yesterday with a 10-1 drubbing of Flint, marking the third-time this season the Komets have rung up 10 or more goals in a game and the second against the Generals. Tonight starts a stretch of three straight games at home for the Komets, where they own a record of 11-8-2-4.
