
Cougars' Season Opener Rained Out in Beloit

BELOIT, Wisc. - The beginning of the 18th season of Kane County Cougars baseball will have to wait until Friday, as the team's 2008 season opener Thursday against the Beloit Snappers at Pohlman Field was postponed due to rain.
The game, which never began, will be made up Saturday afternoon as part of a doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games. Game 1 is scheduled to start at 2 CT with Game 2 to follow afterward. Friday night's game, scheduled for 6:30 CT, will proceed as planned with a nine-inning format.
