Wisconsin Timber Rattlers News Release
DAVENPORT, IA -- The first game of the 2008 Wisconsin Timber Rattler schedule was rained out on Thursday night. The Rattlers were set to face the Quad Cities River Bandits at Modern Woodmen Park, but heavy rains in the late afternoon hit the Quad Cities area. There was little chance for the weather to clear and that forced a postponement.
The teams will open the season with a single game on Friday night at 7:00pm. Nathan Adcock is still the scheduled starter for the Rattlers. Shaun Garceau will be the starter for the River Bandits.
Thursday's game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. There will be a pair of seven inning games on Saturday. The first game will start at 1:00pm. The second game will start approximately thirty minutes after the completion of game one.
Wisconsin's home opener is Monday, April 7 against the Clinton LumberKings on Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. Game time on Monday is 6:35pm.
