April 3, 2008 - The start of the 2008 MWL season for the Cedar Rapids Kernels will have to wait one more day, as Thursday's game at Clinton has been postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, April 5th starting at 5 pm at Alliant Energy Field in Clinton. Both games of the DH will be 7 innings long.
The Kernels and LumberKings will try and start the season on Friday night with the first pitch schedule for 7 pm. John Rodgers brings you all the exciting MWL action live on 1450 KMRY AM, the home of Kernels baseball, and on-line at www.kernels.com Opening Day for the Kernels at Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium is Monday, April 7th as the Kernels take on the Quad City River Bandits at noon. Tickets are available on-line at www.kernels.com
