Published on April 3, 2008 under Midwest League (MWL1)
Quad Cities River Bandits News Release
The much-anticipated return of the Quad Cities River Bandits to Davenport will have to wait one more night, as Thursday's scheduled season-opener against the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers has been postponed due to rain.
The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The first of two seven-inning contests will begin at 1:00 p.m. as previously scheduled scheduled.
Meanwhile, the River Bandits will make their triumphant return on Friday night, setting the stage for a weekend affair that will include an extravagant post-game fireworks display. The 7:00 p.m. game will also feature a Magnet Schedule giveaway courtesy of Domino's Pizza on Brady St. and Lucky Lang. One lucky fan will also win a free refrigerator to put their new schedule on, and all fans will be able to take advantage of free massages and haircuts!
