PRINCE GEORGE, BC - The party starts Friday. The Prince George Cougars 2018-2019 open their home schedule on Welcome Home Night, sponsored by Ridgeline Roofing, this Friday, September 28th, against the B.C. Division rival Kelowna Rockets with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
"We are all tremendously excited to enter our 25thyear in Prince George," said Cougars' VP of Business Andy Beesley. "On behalf of our entire organization, the PG Cougars want to share this important milestone with our entire city, to say thank you to all of our fans, and to welcome you back once again to the CN Centre"
The Cougars are celebrating their 25thanniversary in Prince George this season, and they're throwing a party to celebrate. There will be a tailgate party outside the CN Centre on Friday. Fans can enjoy delicious food truck items from both Frozen Paddle and White Goose Bistro starting at 4:30 p.m.
The 2018-2019 Prince George Cougars will arrive in style - literally. The Cougars have teamed up with Crusin' Classics car club and the Overdrive car club to have over 18 classic cars deliver the players to a red carpet entrance at the front of the CN Centre. Starting at 4:45 p.m., each player will roll up to the main entrance, located by the TicketsNorth box office, where fans will have a chance to greet them on the red carpet.
There will also be live music throughout the tailgate as DJ Ant will be performing outside, on top of the CN Centre roof, from 4:45-6:30 p.m.
To mark the 25thAnniversary the Cougars, in partnership with the Prince George Citizen, will unveil the Top 25 "Dream Team" throughout the game on Friday as well. The Top 25 "Dream Team" was selected by a select panel and the public through the Prince George Citizen.
