CornBelters Set for Next Leg of Inaugural Season

NORMAL, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, will host the next homestand of their inaugural season at the Corn Crib from Saturday, June 26 through Thursday, July 1. They will play the Grizzlies on June 26, Sunday, June 27 and Monday, June 28. Following, they will play the Cruisers on Tuesday, June 29, Wednesday, June 30 and July 1. With the exception of June 27 (5 p.m.), all games begin at 7 p.m. and gates open one hour prior to game time. Tickets are still available for each of the six games!
Anna Jack will entertain the crowd with her hula hooping skills on June 26. Plus, area Girl Scouts will camp out on the field after the game! The first 1,000 kids 12 and under on June 27 will receive a Corny bobblehead courtesy of State Farm. Also, there will be a post-game family autograph session on the field! June 28 is Baseball Bingo Night. Fans can purchase bingo cards for $1.00 at the Fan Information Booth prior to the game. Every space on their card contains a unique baseball event (double play, homerun, strikeout looking, etc.) As events take shape on the field, fans take action at their seats - checking off events in a bid to complete their card. Great prizes will be given to the first ones to complete their cards for a "BINGO!"
The CornBelters welcome the Cruisers to town on June 29, and it's a "Salute to Elvis." An impersonator will entertain fans throughout the game, and Reading Program participants can redeem/upgrade their voucher for a ticket! Plus, kids can run the bases after the game! June 30 is "Teacher Appreciation Night," and all teachers will receive a complimentary Box Seat ticket with a valid school ID! It's also a Dog Day, and fans are encouraged to bring their K-9 companions to the ballpark. The homestand wraps up with "Ladies Night" on July 1. It's also a Thirsty Thursday, and plenty of $1.00 draft beers will be served from two concession stands!

THE NIBLET: On Friday, August 13, the CornBelters will host a "State Farm Legends Reception" at the new Marriott in uptown Normal. The following day is the "State Farm Legends Game" featuring former Chicago and St. Louis MLB players such as Bob Dernier, Keith Moreland, Turk Wendell, Micky Morandini, Rick Reuschel, Lee Smith, John Tudor, Andy Van Slyke and Cal Eldred. Tickets for both events will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, June 26 at 10 a.m.
The CornBelters currently have prorated full season tickets, prorated mini-plan packages, various group outings and individual game tickets available for their inaugural season.
