CornBelters Begin Father of the Year Essay Contest

Normal, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by Illinois Corn Farmers, are accepting entries for the Father of the Year essay contest. Following a six-game road trip, the CornBelters will be back in action at the Corn Crib on Thursday, June 16 at 7pm versus the Evansville Otters (Thirsty Thursday / ISU Alumni Night).

Fans of all ages can submit an essay describing why his/her father should be named the 2011 CornBelters Father of the Year. A winner will be drawn on Friday, June 16. The winning entry will be read before the game over the PA by the individual who submitted it on Sunday, June 19. The winner's father will get to throw out the first pitch and both father and child will enjoy an exclusive Luxury Suite for up to twenty people at the game on Sunday, June 19.

Entries can be submitted by email to info@normalbaseball.com, mailed to 1000 W Raab Rd Normal IL 61761, or posted to www.facebook.com/CornBelters. Entries must include the writer's name, address, phone number, age and name of the father being nominated. Entries will be accepted until Friday, June 16.
