Uncasville, CT - With the 22nd pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft presented by State Farm®, the Connecticut Sun selected Alexis Morris from Louisiana State University.
Morris comes to Connecticut after finishing her collegiate career as a National Champion at LSU. The 5-6 guard averaged a career-best 15.4 points, along with 2.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.8 steals during the 2022-23 season. Morris picked up First Team All-SEC honors this year, as well as Greenville Regional 2 All-Tournament Team and Final Four All-Tournament team selections on her way to the program's first national title. The Beaumont, Texas native was also named a semifinalist for the Liberman Award as one of the nation's top point guards. Prior to LSU, Morris began her collegiate career at Baylor and made stops at Rutgers and Texas A&M.
