Connecticut Sun News Release
Uncasville, CT - Today, the Connecticut Sun announced five Connecticut Sun "Basketball for Free" clinics, presented by Jordan's Furniture Long Wharf, New Haven.
The Sun's "Basketball for Free" clinics program, created to bring resources and Connecticut Sun talent to cities around New England that face equity and access challenges, is in its second year.
Jordan's, an original supporter and presenting sponsor of five of the Sun's "Basketball for Free" clinics during the 2022 season, will be matching their efforts from the program's inaugural year. This season, Jordan's will be sponsoring five clinics across Connecticut, taking place in New Britain, Uncasville, Monroe, Hamden and Branford; featuring high level coaching and skills training to attendees. Each attendee will receive a free Connecticut Sun Basketball t-shirt and a basketball to continue practicing their skills.
"We are so pleased to continue to work with partners like Jordan's Furniture who share and value our commitment to our community and are willing to help us grow the next generation of basketball players. We hope that every child who attends one of our clinic leaves with an excitement for the game they didn't have when they entered the gym." - Morgan Tuck, Connecticut Sun Director of Franchise Development and Assistant General Manager
