Connecticut Sun Open Training Camp for 2007 Season

UNCASVILLE, CT. (April 20, 2007) - The Connecticut Sun open training camp for the 2007 WNBA season with the traditional media day, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday at Connecticut College.
Among the eight players who will be on hand for the first day are veterans Jamie Carey, Megan Mahoney and Kristen Rasmussen, rookie draft picks Kamesha Hairston, Cori Chambers and Kiera Hardy, and free agents Monique Martin and Adrianne Davie.
The remaining players on the training camp roster - Katie Douglas, Nykesha Sales, Asjha Jones, Lindsay Whalen, Margo Dydek, Erika de Souza, Laura Summerton and Le'Coe Willingham - are expected to arrive in the next two to three weeks, as they fulfill overseas commitments.
The Sun will practice at Connecticut College every day except Saturday, April 28th leading up to their preseason game with the New York Liberty at the Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport on May 5th at 5 p.m. Connecticut will also host the Seattle Storm in a preseason game at Mohegan Sun Arena on May 8th at 7 p.m.
The Sun will play their first regular season home game of the 2007 season on May 26th at 3:30 p.m., hosting the Los Angeles Sparks at Mohegan Sun Arena.
