
Zara Adds Depth to 2007 Storm Training Camp Roster

SEATTLE, Friday, April 20, 2007 - The Seattle Storm today signed 5-10 guard Francesca Zara to a training camp contract, Storm Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Anne Donovan announced. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Zara originally joined Seattle's roster during the 2005 season. In her WNBA rookie season, she started in four contests for the Storm and averaged 2.6 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 12.1 minutes per game. Zara poured in a career-high nine points at Detroit on June 6, 2005 and a career-high five assists against Sacramento on Aug. 25, 2005. On November 16, 2005 Zara was selected by the Chicago Sky in the WNBA Expansion Draft.
The Storm will open their 2007 season against Western Conference rival Houston at KeyArena beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 19. The following Wednesday, May 23, Seattle will host the Phoenix Mercury at 7 p.m. on FSN Northwest.
Single-game tickets for all of the Storm's 2007 regular-season, as well as and their May 11 preseason game against the Sacramento Monarchs at KeyArena, will go on sale Tuesday, May 1 at 10 a.m. All Storm home games will be played at the Key this summer, the team's eighth season in the WNBA.
