With no outs first basemen Will Allen (3-5, 3 RBI) singled to drive in two and give the Tigers a 3-1 lead.
Right fielder Tanner Donnels followed with an RBI double and after shortstop AJ Simcox lifted a sacrifice fly it was a 5-1 Connecticut lead. The Tigers added single runs in the fourth and seventh innings to pad the advantage. On the night the Tigers tallied 13 hits just one night after they had 11 in the finale at Aberdeen.
