TONIGHT'S GAME:
The Bakersfield Condors (3-2-1-0, 7pts) wrap up a brief two-game homestand with a Saturday game against the Las Vegas Wranglers (3-3-0-1, 7pts). The teams are tied atop the Pacific Division having collected seven points apiece. In one previous meeting this season, exactly one week ago in Las Vegas, the Wranglers scored with less than a minute remaining in overtime to secure a 3-2 victory.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
Bakersfield raced out to a 4-0 lead and hung on for a 5-3 victory over the Idaho Steelheads last night at Rabobank Arena. Scott Freeman continued his torrid start with two goals in the second period, the first of which turned out to be the game-winning tally. Matt Keetley got the start for Bakersfield and made 26 saves for his second win of the season. Mathew Sisca, Alain Goulet, and Matt Marquardt also tallied for the Condors in the victory.
Las Vegas broke out offensively in a 9-3 trouncing of the Colorado Eagles in Las Vegas. Eric Lampe, who leads the ECHL in scoring, tallied four times and added two assists in the win. Judd Blackwater potted two goals for the Wranglers and Joe Fallon picked up the victory in between the pipes.
CONDORS NOTES
The Condors are 2-0 at Rabobank Arena this season...Bakersfield is 3-0 this season when they score first and 0-2-1 when allowing the first goal of the game...C Mathew Sisca scored the first goal of the game last night, his first professional goal...F Scott Freeman is on a six-game point streak, tallying 10 points overall...Freeman is tied for 3rd in the ECHL in scoring and leads in both rookie scoring and goals scored (6)...He also now has two game-winning tallies which is tied for 2nd in the ECHL
WRANGLERS NOTES
Las Vegas is looking for its first road victory of the season tonight.. The team is playing its first road game since Oct. 15 after a five-game homestand...F Peter MacArthur has seven assists on the season, good for third in the ECHL...F Eric Lampe leads the ECHL in goals scored (9) and points (12).
TRANSACTIONS
F Mike Kramer was transferred from the 3-IR to 7-IR (10/28)...F Kevin Lohry was activated off the 7-IR (10/28)...Defenseman Erik Burgdoerfer was placed on the 21-IR (10/25)...Forward Mike Kramer was placed on 3-IR (10/22)...Forward Parker Stanfield was activated off 3-IR (10/22).
