TONIGHT

The Bakersfield Condors play their lone home game against the Alaska Aces (14-5-0-0, 28 points) tonight. It is the first and only time the teams will meet in Bakersfield with three games later in the season to be played in Anchorage to complete the season series. Bakersfield has met Alaska 125 times all-time in the regular season with a 53-54-18 (.496 win%) record. This is home game number 11 for the Condors who head out on the road for the next three, in three different cities, beginning in Stockton tomorrow night.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Bakersfield held the team's 14th Annual Teddy Bear Toss last Saturday as F Evan Trupp scored the quickest Teddy Bear Goal in team history, just 1:13 into the first period. The Condors raced out to a 3-1 lead in the first period, but surrendered the next six and fell by a 7-3 margin to Ontario in front of 8,388 fans. F Jacob Lagace and F Zach Cohen had the other tallies for the Condors.

Alaska controlled things from the get go in their last game as F Nate Thompson scored :15 seconds into the first period and the Aces cruised to a 6-2 win in Stockton on Wednesday night. It was the first of the NHL'ers two goals on the night and three points total. Fellow NHL'er F Joey Crabb had two assists to go along with a plus-2 (+2) rating. G Gerald Coleman got the nod in the net for the Aces and made 24 saves on 26 shots.

CONDORS NOTES

F Alex Hudson is on a three-game point streak (2g-1a)... D Tyson Gimblett is tied for 2nd in the ECHL with eight fighting majors... D Olivier Dame-Malka is tied for first among ECHL defensemen in power-play goals with four... Bakersfield has been strongest in the opening period of games outscoring opponents 17-15... The Condors are 4-0-0-1 when leading after two periods of play.

ACES NOTES

F Joey Crabb is tied for 11th in the ECHL scoring race with 21 points (8g-13a) in 18 games played. He leads the league in shorthanded tallies with three... F Nick Mazzolini has five game-winning goals, most in the ECHL... G Mark Guggenberger leads the ECHL in wins with 11, is 2nd in minutes played with 879, and fifth in saves 346...
