
Countdown to Face-Off: K-Wings at Toledo

Closing out the month of November, the Kalamazoo Wings will travel to the Huntington Center to battle the Toledo Walleye. Tonight is the second half of a home-and-home series between the teams, as Toledo defeated Kalamazoo 3-2 last Sunday at Wings Stadium.
Starting the night in fourth place in the North Division, the K-Wings will begin a three-game road swing. With 18 points, Kalamazoo is one point behind the Fort Wayne Komets for third, five points behind Toledo for second and only six points behind the Cincinnati Cyclones for the division's top spot.
Winners of two straight, the Walleye return home looking to move into first place in the highly competitive North Division. With 23 points, Toledo trails Cincinnati, who is in action tonight against the Evansville IceMen, by a single point for first place honors.

Roster Movement
It's been a week of comings and goings for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo has added forward Stefan Schneider from the Vancouver Canucks and goaltender Brooks Ostergard, while forward Darren Archibald and goaltender Joe Cannata has been reassigned to the Chicago Wolves.
Killing Time
The K-Wings have been impressive this season in killing penalties against the Toledo Walleye. In three games this season, Kalamazoo is a perfect 14-for-14 in killing Toledo power-play chances
Rolling Along
Forwards John Armstrong and Kory Karlander each have earned points in four straight games. Besides the four-game point streak, Karlander shares the K-Wings team-lead in assists (13) with Sam Ftorek.
Good Things Come in Threes
Defenseman Mitch Versteeg begins the week on fire. Versteeg heads into tonight on a three-game point streak.
