
Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays Battle Royals, Add Defenseman Vaughan

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays battle the Reading Royals on Country Night tonight at 7:05 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum. Catch all the action live at StingraysHockey.com. Tonight is the second and final regular-season meeting between the two teams this season. The Stingrays also announced today that the team has signed defenseman Scooter Vaughan . In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Vaughan, 23, skated in 20 games with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL last season netting one goal and five assists for six points and 21 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro, the Placentia, California, native dressed for four seasons at the University of Michigan totaling 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists) in 137 games and helped the Wolverines capture CCHA championships in 2008 and 2010.
Great Clips will be at the game today offering free shaves to fans who participated in the Stingrays' Movember campaign to help raise prostate cancer awareness. Great Clips is not offering free haircuts.
