
Condors Sign Teammates Barteaux and Joe from University of Alberta

CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, owned by the Edmonton Oilers, announced today that the team has signed D Ian Barteaux and D Colin Joe to standard player contracts (SPC). Both were teammates at the University of Alberta, who this past weekend captured their record-setting 14th CIS National Championship.
Also, G Tyler Bunz has been placed on 21- day IR.
25 years old, 6'0", 200 lbs., Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, CanadaPlayed five seasons for the Golden Bears with 57 points (15g-42a) in 133 games 2012-13: led all Canada West with a plus/minus rating of +22 in conference play 2010-11: finished second on the team in scoring among defensemen and t-1st in goals scored among blueliners 2009-10: named to the CIS All-Tournament Team 2008-09: led the Kootenay Ice (WHL) in scoring among defensmen with 39 points (10g-29a) Led the ice in penalty minutes that season with 153 which included 11 fighting majors Runner-up for the WHL's Humanitarian of the Year award
JOE - career stats 26 years old, 6'0", 185 lbs., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Registered 60 points (14g-46a) in 128 games over five seasons with the Golden Bears 2009-10: t-1st in Canada West with a plus/minus rating of +18 Had a career-high 28 points (5g-23a) in 66 games during his overage year with Saskatoon in the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2008-09 Won a WHL title in 2004-05 with Kelowna and played in the Memorial Cup
