Bakersfield Condors News Release
Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, host of the 2010-11 ECHL All-Star Classic and ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild, will be holding their annual Open House and Family Day on Saturday, Oct. 2. Festivities will start at noon at the Bakersfield Ice Sports Center, located at 1325 Q Street. Immediately following the game, the ice will open up for a skate with the team starting at 1:45 p.m. Get autographs, take pictures with the players, and welcome the guys to Bakersfield. The event is open to the public, and admission is free with the donation of two non-perishable food items.
Tuesday Sept. 28
Slapshot and Condors staff will be at Actis Jr. High located at 2400 Westholme Blvd. at 1:15 p.m. Slapshot will be there to take pictures with the students and get them excited for the school year.
Wednesday, Sept. 29
Baby Cal and Condors staff will be at Shafter High School located at 526 Mannel Avenue from 11 to 12:45 p.m. Baby Cal will be entertaining the students during their lunch period to help kickoff their Homecoming week.
Saturday, Oct. 2
Baby Cal will be out at Central Park Mill Creek located just east of R St. and south of 21st St. from 11 to 12 p.m. to help support the Kern Regional Center's Meet Your Neighbor event. Baby Cal will entertain the guests out at the park while handing out some cool prizes.
Sunday, Oct. 3
Baby Cal and Condors staff will be at Good Samaritan Hospital located at 5201 White Lane from 11 to 1 p.m. Baby Cal will be entertaining guests who will be enjoying food and drinks and local vendors at the health fair that day.
Colonel Claw'd will be out at Luigis 100th Anniversary event located on 725 E. 19th St. to help celebrate the past 100 years of Luigis fine Italian cuisine. There will be live entertainment, Luigis barbeque, and activities for kids. For more information on this event click here.
Condors 13th Annual Charity Golf Classic:
The Condors host their 13th Annual Charity Golf Classic on Monday, Oct. 25 at Noon. This year's event will be held for the first time at Stockdale Country Club located at 7001 Stockdale Highway. Teams are comprised of four entrants and a Condors player at a cost of $125 per person. Entry fee includes greens fees, cart, range balls, a sack lunch, dinner after the tournament and a chance to win prizes.
