Thursday, August 10th: The Condors Care-A- Van and Goodwill Industries are heading back out into the community to collect donations. Baby Cal and members of the front office staff will attend the Kern Valley Exchange Club's meeting at noon in Lake Isabella, followed by a stop at the French Gulch Marina at 2pm before heading to the Kernville fire station at 3pm. Stop by any of our locations to drop off your donations and take a shot at the Condors inflatable Slapshot. Week in Review:

Tuesday, August 1stCondors mascot Colonel Claw'd attended the Kern County Museum's Summer Fun Day where the water adventures never ended. After shooting pucks at the Condors Slapshot, kids were able to get wet on water slides.

Saturday, August 5th:Project "Back to School Drive" put smiles on faces and clothes on students around Kern County. The Condors partnered with KGET-TV 17, Telemundo 11, and Junior Acheivement to collect donations in an effort to prepare kids for the new school year.

Saturday, August 5th: The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway raised more than 2.1 million dollars for the St. Jude Research hospital located in Memphis, TN. Michael Gonzales of Bakersfield was the grand prize winner of the dream home, while other entrants did not leave empty handed. Other prizes such as four season tickets to the Condors games and a car from Toyota were also given out. Condors Mascot Baby Cal and Community Relations Manager Jill Watts attended the event.

Sunday, August 6th:Condors mascot Baby Cal and members of the front office staff helped keep families fit while having fun at theKern County Museum. Sunday was dedicated to healthy life-styles as kids jumped in the jump-house, danced to music, and took shots at the Condors inflatable Slapshot.

Monday, August 14th:Members of the front office staff will be visiting the Little Red School House on Fruitvale Avenue from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

Tuesday, August 15th:It's back to school we go, but this time we are heading to the Little Red School Houseon California Ave from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

Wednesday, August 16th:The Condors Care-A-Van and Goodwill Industries will travel toTaft and join the Kern Valley Rotary Club for lunch to talk about the upcoming season.

Just for Kids:

The Bakersfield Condors are offering an Early Bird Special for 2006-2007 Condors Kids Club membership. From now until September 1st, Condors fans age 12 and under can join the coolest club in town for only $15! Membership runs from September 1, 2006 to May 31, 2007. Special activities allow for ONE- OF-A-KIND opportunities to meet Condors players, coaches, and mascots Colonel Claw'd and Baby Cal. Tickets to six pre-selected games, a Kid's Club t-shirt and an exclusive gift, are also included. Parents can sign up their child by coming into the Bakersfield Condors office located at the Rabobank Arena or mailing in the bottom portion of the Kid's Club flier along with payment. In the Community: The Bakersfield Condors were the recipients of the 2005 Beautiful Bakersfield Humanitarian Group Award for their charitable work in the community. This past season the Condors donated $405,540 in cash or product to local non-profit organizations.
