
Condors Assistant Coach Paul Willett Visits Little Red Schoolhouse

Tuesday, August 3rd - Bakersfield Condors Assistant Coach Paul Willett will be joined by Colonel Claw'd at the Little Red Schoolhouse, California Avenue location beginning at 9:30am. Willett will be taking a full set of hockey equipment and dressing up children as he talks about his role as Assistant Coach. The Little Red Schoolhouse is located at 4601 California Avenue in Bakersfield.
Thursday, August 5th - Paul Willett's tour of The Little Red Schoolhouse will continue, as he and Colonel Claw'd visit the Fruitvale Avenue location beginning at 9:30am. Willett will again be taking a full set of hockey equipment and dressing up children and talking about his role as Assistant Coach. The Little Red Schoolhouse is located at 4601 Fruitvale Avenue.
Thursday, August 5th - Come on down to the Holiday Inn Select for the Indoor War Report as the "Voice of the Blitz" Kevin Bartl is joined by Blitz Head Coach Rick Van Horne, and select 2004 Blitz players from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. The IWR is a great chance for fans to meet their favorite members of the 2004 Blitz as well as win great prizes. The Holiday Inn Select is located at the corner of Truxtun Avenue and Q Street. The show can also be heard live each week on KGEO AM 1230.
Saturday, August 7th - Blitz mascot Crusher will make a trip up the mountain to be Parade Marshal at Frazier Park's Mountain Community Festival Days Parade. Crusher will be leading the parade as it winds its way through town and finishing in the park. The parade gets started at 10am.

With the Blitz locking up the #2 seed this past weekend, they will host their first playoff game on August 14th! Tickets for that game will go on sale to the general public on Monday, August 9th. Group outings for the Blitz are on sale now by contacting the Blitz office at 716-BLITZ (2548) or by coming in to the Bakersfield Sports Entertainment office located at Centennial Garden. The Bakersfield Condors 2004-2005 season schedule has been updated! The Condors will open their second season in the ECHL on Friday, October 22nd 2004 against the expansion Victoria Salmon Kings. Season tickets are now available with packages starting at just $30. Stop by the Bakersfield Sports Entertainment office at Centennial Garden or call the Condors at 324-PUCK (7825) for more information.
The annual Condors "Care-a-Van" is traveling to all parts of Kern County. The "Care-a-Van" has made stops in Ridgecrest and Tehachapi and will be motoring into Lake Isabella on Thursday, August 12th and is planning trips to Shafter, Taft and Frazier Park. At each stop, by making a donation to Goodwill Industries or Houchin Blood Bank, fans can receive a free terrace level ticket for the Condors Opening Night game Friday, October 22nd against the expansion Victoria Salmon Kings.
