Condors and Wranglers team up for free agent try-out camp

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors, official ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks, are teaming up with the Las Vegas Wranglers to host a free agent camp on Monday, Sept. 28 and Tuesday, Sept. 29 in Las Vegas.

The open tryout camp offers players the opportunity to put their hockey skills on display for members of the Condors and Wranglers coaching staff for a chance at receiving an invitation to either of the teams' official ECHL training camps, which open on October 1, 2009. The Free Agent Camp will be held at the SOBE Ice Arena at the Fiesta Rancho Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tryout spots are limited to 4 goaltenders with a total of 50 participants. All players must be at least 18-years old. Camp registration fee is $125 and includes two on-ice practice sessions. Check-in will begin Monday, Sept. 28th at 11:00 a.m., with the on-ice session running from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29th check-in will begin at 11:00 a.m., with the on-ice session running from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. All practice sessions are open to the public for viewing. Tryouts are on a first-come, first-served basis.

The 2009-10 season opens in just 45 days, when the Condors host the Ontario Reign on Oct. 16. Season Ticket and mini-plans, starting at just $42, are on sale now. Fans can make Condors season tickets even more affordable by using Extended AutoPay, which is a program that allows you to spread your payments out through February, 2010. Purchase discounted tickets when you bring a group of 20 or more out to a Condors game. Stop by the Condors office or call 324-PUCK (7825) for remaining seat availability.
