COMETS FORWARD DARREN ARCHIBALD HAS SUCCESSFUL SURGERY TO REPAIR FACIAL FRACTURE

Utica, NY- Utica Comets General Manager Ryan Johnson confirmed today that Darren Archibald underwent successful surgery after suffering a facial fracture.

Darren Archibald sustained a facial fracture to his cheek bone on Wednesday, November 8 during the game versus the Charlotte Checkers. Archibald was sent to a specialist in Toronto and on Wednesday November 15 and had surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery and his estimated return to playing is four to six weeks.
