Cleveland Monsters News Release
CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Monsters announced today that the team will be hosting its annual "Salute the Troops" Night at The Q this Saturday at 7:00 pm against the Milwaukee Admirals.
Tickets will be FREE for those with a military ID as the Monsters will honor military veterans throughout the night with special recognition moments in-game, as well as on all video boards in the arena by virtue of fans tweeting and using the #MonstersSalute hashtag. Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to write letters to our troops overseas at select locations on the concourse.
To help honor and pay tribute to our armed forces, the Monsters are also proud to launch the team's all-new "Hockey for Heroes" program, presented by Ohio Lottery. Guests of the program on Saturday will receive concessions, a gift bag courtesy of the Monsters and the Ohio Lottery, and a private meet-and-greet with a Monsters player after the game. After Saturday, the "Hockey for Heroes" program will take place at every Friday home game, 11 times, throughout the rest of the 2017-18 season
Partial proceeds from "Military Salute" retail items sold on Saturday night will be donated to local non-profit organizations that support our veterans.
Prior to the excitement that takes place on Saturday night, the Monsters return home tonight to take on the Milwaukee Admirals for Blue Jackets Night/College ID Night, presented by WMMS, where fans can enjoy $6 tickets at The Q Box Office with a valid college ID.
The Cleveland Monsters are the American Hockey Leagues proud Affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets. The Monsters are a part of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena organization also owned by a group led by Cavaliers Majority Owner and Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert. The group also owns and operates the Cleveland Gladiators of the Arena Football League playing at Quicken Loans Arena and the Canton Charge of the NBA G League playing in nearby Canton, Ohio at the Canton Civic Center.
