COLUMBUS, Ohio (Monday, July 11) - The Crew will be on the road this weekend to face the Eastern Conference leading Chicago Fire on Saturday, July 16, at 4:00 p.m. (ET) at Solider Field.

The Crew (4-10-2, 14 pts.) lost 2-1 to San Jose at home last Saturday, while Chicago (11-6-2, 35 pts.) beat New England 1-0 at home at Solider Field to take over first place in the East.

Saturday's game will be televised nationally on ESPN2. The game can be heard in English on 103.9, TED-FM, as well as on-line at theCrew.com and MLSNet.com.

SIERRA MIST MLS ALL-STAR GAME IS JULY 30 IN COLUMBUS WITH TICKETS NOW ON SALE, ALL-STAR STARTERS TO BE ANNOUNCED ON WEDNESDAY

The MLS All-Stars will face Brian McBride and English Premier League club Fulham FC in the 2005 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game to be played on Saturday, July 30, in Crew Stadium (ABC Sports at 3:30 p.m. ET). Tickets for the Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game are currently on sale and can be acquired at the Crew Stadium Box Office, at any area Ticketmaster outlet, via phone at 614-431-3600 or on line at MLSNet.com and TheCrew.com. Group pricing is also available. For more information or to purchase group tickets call The Crew at 614-447-CREW. The starters for the Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game will be announced on Wednesday.

CREW SUPPORTER BUS TRIP TO CHICAGO FOR THE JULY 16 DOUBLE HEADER IS SOLD OUT

Crew fans will be supporting the team on the road when they travel by bus to Chicago for the July 16 double header at Solider Field. The first game will start at 3 p.m. (CT) when The Crew takes on the Chicago Fire, with the second game kicking off at approximately 5:30 p.m. (CT) when world power Real Madrid faces Mexican power CD Guadalajara.

The 55-seat bus is currently sold-out; however a waiting list is being compiled. If you wish to be placed on the waiting list for the Crew bus trip to Chicago, please contact Shayla Collins at (614) 447-4151 or scollins@thecrew.com.

The bus will leave from the Crew Stadium parking lot at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, and will depart from Solider Field following the conclusion of the second game, at approximately 8:30 p.m. (CT). The bus is expected back at Crew Stadium around 3 a.m. (ET). Total cost of the trip is $70. ($25 for one roundtrip bus ticket and $45 for one ticket to the double header games). Anyone who already has a ticket to the double header will still need to pay the $25 bus fee.

THE U.S. LEADS GROUP B WITH 2 WINS, WHILE TRINIDAD & TOBAGO HAVE 2 TIES IN GROUP A

U.S. Men's National Team manager Bruce Arena has named Crew defender Frankie Hejduk to the 23-man roster that will compete in the 2005

CONCACAF Gold Cup, the regional championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean.

The 12-team tournament runs from July 6-24 in six cities across the United States, with the U.S. competing in Group B along with Canada, Costa Rica and Cuba.

The U.S. opened the tournament with a 4-1 win over Cuba on Thursday, July 7, with Hejduk starting and playing the full 90 minutes. The U.S. continued group play against Canada on Saturday, July 9, in Seattle, winning 2-0. Hejduk did not play.

The team will head East to finish out group play against Costa Rica on Tuesday, July 12, at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. (7 p.m. ET, Telefutura). Fans can follow all the U.S. matches live on ussoccer.com's MatchTracker, presented by Philips Electronics.

Along with Hejduk for the U.S., one other Crew player has been called-in by his country, with Trinidad & Tobago calling in Cornell Glen. Trinidad & Tobago faced Honduras on Wednesday, July 6, and played to a 1-1 tie. Glen did not see any action. T&T continued group play against Panama with a 2-2 tie on Saturday, July 9, with Glen scoring the tying goal in stoppage time after entering the game in the 83rd minute. T&T will finish off group play against Colombia today, July 11, at the Orange Bowl (7 p.m. ET).

Luis Gallardo was on Panama's initial roster but did not make the final roster, and Guatemalan Mario Rodriguez was also on the initial roster for Guatemala but will remain with The Crew unless Guatemala has injury problems.
